| How to Use | |
| 1 | In this system, it is important that data is only input into ranges. Data input that is outside the ranges will not be sorted, and may not be transferred to other areas of the spreadsheet. If additional rows are required, follow these instructions. |
| To INSERT ROWS | |
| Click a cell in the row immediately below where you want the new row. To insert multiple rows, select rows immediately below where you want the new rows. Select the same number of rows as you want to insert. | |
| On the INSERT menu, click ROWS. | |
| To copy the formulae, highlight the last complete row by clicking on the margin. Next, drag the line down to fill the vacant rows. | |
| Enter number, name and bike if required on the DATAENTRY sheet. RIDERS CANNOT BE GIVEN THE SAME NUMBER, REGARDLESS OF CLASS. | |
| Once the DATAENTRY sheet is complete, it is important to check the the details are in ascending order, based on the rider number. The information may be sorted as follows. | |
| To SORT DATAENTRY information | |
| Highlight the rows where rider details have been entered by clicking in the margin and press the left mouse button until all rows are covered. Next select the DATA menu, SORT and then select Column A and ASCENDING from the SORT window. Then click OK. | |
| Next, on each class sheet, enter the numbers of riders into the left margin. If the details in the DATAENTRY sheet are correct ad sorted, information should start to come up in the adjoining columns. | |
| Once all the riders are in, the extra rows are not required in the class section (unrequired rows may be left on the DATA ENTRY sheet) and stop some results from showing up. To delete the additional rows, follow these instructions. | |
| To DELETE ROWS | |
| Select the entire row/s by clicking on the margin. From the EDIT menu, select DELETE. | |
| OTHER STUFF | |
| If a rider does not compete in a particular heat, then enter a number in the start section, which will then give a negative result. When transferred to the class page, the result will give the highest score plus 100 seconds. | |
| Time and other penalties may be typed directly into the DATAENTRY sheet. | |
