Dargle Farm is on the Hawksbury River to the North of Sydney. There are a few ways into Dargle from Sydney, you will eventually arrive from the Pitt Town/Windsor side or the Dural side. The secret is not to miss the last turning into River Road which is signed to the Sackville Ferry ( small sign on a single post ). Once on River Road, go down the hill until it flattens out. You can't see the track from the road, so slow down when you see the river and caravan park and take the dirt road opposite along the valley. If the gates are closed, please remember to close them behind you.
Dark Corner Dark Corner is located about 20kl outside Lithgow off the main Bathurst road. several km's outside of Lithgow you will get to a long straight uphill section of road, look for the sign and turning on the left to Sunny Corner. Travel along this single track road a few km's until you reach the pine logging areas, just over a crest the road splits into a Y - take the right fork and continue to the next T junction. Turn right again, a few km's along here on the right is the property we use - on race days we will have a sign on the gate post. Travel through the property the top of the hill, remembering to close the gates behind you.
Nowra ( Yerriong ) Nowra is south of Sydney on the Princes Highway. Go over the river bridge into Nowra and look for the sign on the right at traffic lights ( there's a cemetery on the junction ) to the Albatross Base and Braidwood, take the turn right and then go straight over the next small traffic roundabout and past the Subaru Dealer on the right, travel for a about 6 kilometers until you get to the corner of the Albatross Air Base, take the right turn here signposted to Braidwood and go around the airfield. Carry on approx. 1 kilometer and look for the gateway and sign on the right for the track.
Barleigh Ranch Barleigh Ranch is located a few km's past Raymond Terrace on the F1 Freeway north of Newcastle. Drive a few kilometers out of Raymond Terrace and look for the Motocross track sign on the left. Take the right turn and then right again after 50metres onto a dirt road, follow the signs to the track.
Louee Travel out of Sydney to Lithgow, approx. 7 km out of Lithgow on the Bathurst road is a turning on the right to Mudgee, take this turn. After approx. 50kl there is a turn on the right to Kandos and Rylstone, take this turn and travel through these villages. 5kl's outside Rylstone is a turn left to Lue and Mudgee, take this turn. Travel along this road to Lue village - the track is at Louee Station - very small signpost on the left.
Clarence There are 2 ways to Clarence MX track from Sydney.1 - Travel out of Sydney on the Bells Line of road until you get to within a few km's of Lithgow. On the right side of the road you will see the start of the Zig Zag Railway ( it is signed from way before, so you won't miss it ), turn right here and then immediately right away from the Zig Zag Railway "station" and follow the dirt road over the railway line and up the hill. After approximatly 5 km's turn left to the MX track. (Follow the signs to the MX track.) 2 - Take the Freeway to Penrith and then up the mountain and through Katoomba to Mount Victoria. At Mount Victoria take the right turn at the big hotel signposted to the Zig Zag Railway, travel to the end of this road, until you get to the T junction with the Bells Line road and turn left - from there it's as the first route as you're on the Bells Line road.
Wattle Flat Travelling west from Sydney, through Lithgow towards Bathurst on the Great Western Highway. Go past the Gold Panner Motel and the next major street with traffic lights has a sign saying Sofala/Hillend. Turn right at lights and follow road to Sofala approximately 30kms along. After a large hill climb you will see a sign on the left stating Wattle Flat. Next driveway on the left (approx 50metres from sign) leads to the track. Watch for arrows on gate. Along this driveway is a gate near the house, please make sure you shut the gate, follow road until you see the track. There are no facilities on this site. If you intend to camp here make sure you take everything especially water. When we have an event OBMCC provides portaloos. There is a café down the road if you need something to eat at the end of the day. Closest accommodation is Bathurst or Sofala.
Lochmaree Riding Park Owned by the Bower family and has 2300 acres of directional marked enduro trails that cover all types of terrain. There is also a 2 km motocross track with 5 table-tops (which Geoff Braico spent most of the time on) and an enduro cross track with a great ski jump. I plan to have a club social weekend at Lochmaree next year as one of our social weekends, so watch the calendar for this great weekend. The whole family can go, take a bike, take a book, ride all day or just relax next to the river, in the shade on the grass. For more information visit www.lochmaree.com.au
